News of our recent expedition: Everest Basecamp Trek Nepal

29 April - Our EBC group is now in Gorak Shep after visiting Everest Base Camp. The weather was good, and the sky was clear. Tomorrow morning, we are planning to go to Kala Patthar. We hope the weather remains good so that we can have a clear view of Everest. Thank you for following our expedition.

29 April - Update from the "Everest Base Camp trek" reported by Ang Dorge Sherpa: We have reached Gorak Shep and are currently having lunch. Our plan is to proceed to Everest Base Camp shortly. We are feeling great, and the weather is superb. What else can we expect?

26 April - We've reached Dingboche, the ultimate resting place during the Everest Base Camp Trek. Dingboche stands as the quintessential Sherpa village of the Everest region, famed as one of the most popular trekking destinations where Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa made history by conquering the summit of Mount Everest. Situated at an altitude of 4410 meters above sea level, Dingboche exudes charm, nestled in the Khumbu region's picturesque valley in northeast Nepal. It serves as an ideal spot for trekkers and climbers to acclimatize.

As the last village in the Everest region, Dingboche sits 9.1 kilometers (5.6 miles) from Tengboche Monastery and 8.4 kilometers (5.2 miles) from Lobuche. There are few distinctions between Pheriche and Dingboche. Both offer similar panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks and are situated at comparable altitudes. However, Dingboche boasts slightly better vistas due to its strategic location. The distance between these two locations is minimal, with no significant route divergence, ensuring a seamless transition for trekkers.

26 April - I embarked on a captivating journey, immersing myself in the breathtaking landscapes. I traversed ridges, descended to the serene Dudh Khosi river for a delightful lunch, and passed through a checkpoint manned by the Nepal Army. As I ascended a significant hill, I reached the renowned Tengboche monastery, where devoted monks offered their prayers amidst awe-inspiring views of Everest. Later, I trekked to Pangboche village, nestled at the base of the majestic Mt. Ama Dablam. The evening concluded with a satisfying feast of yak steak, accompanied by fresh vegetables, local potatoes, and homemade garlic soup.

24 April - Today, we're in Namche, the capital of the Khumbu Valley. We're all doing well and have had lots of fun hiking up to Shangboche, enjoying plenty of cake, coffee, and the fascinating mountain views. What more could you ask for? Tomorrow, we're heading to the next village, Pangboche.
